Hankook Tire Chongqing plant phase I project officially put into operation

According to Chongqing Morning News: January 27, Hankook Tire Chongqing plant phase I project officially put into production, a day of 800 tires. The first phase of the project, which will be fully completed in the middle of this year, will produce 2,400 tires per day. The second phase of the project (passenger car tires) will start construction in the second half of this year.
The Chongqing plant is currently Hankook's largest plant in China, with a total investment of 954 million dollars and an area of 796 mu. The project is divided into four phases, Phase I and Phase III project to produce truck and bus tires, Phase II and Phase IV plant to produce passenger car tires. The Chongqing plant is expected to be fully completed by the end of 2015, with an annual capacity of 11.6 million units.
