Japan's Yokohama Rubber will invest $118m in its Manila plant

Yokohama Rubber Co. of Japan said that between now and 2015, Yokohama will invest $118 million in its plant about 40 miles from Manila, the capital of the Philippines, increasing the plant's capacity by 25 percent to produce 12.5 million passenger tires and light truck tires annually. The plant is now operated by Yokohama Tire (Philippines).
The expansion will allow Yokohama Tire's Philippine plant, which opened in 1996 to make 18-inch tires, to make 20-inch tires.
